Mobile App Developer

Localism! is a seed-funded startup based in Long Beach, CA with a focus on solutions that help the local economy.  We are currently looking for experienced mobile app developers to join our talented team, both iOS and Android.  You will work on multiple apps that share a common platform and proprietary API.  Primary interviews will occur between July 9th and 19th.  Initially the role is on a contract basis, with option for full-time.  Due to pending patents you will be asked to sign a NDA if you are invited to the second interview.  This is a salaried position, and founding shares are also available as a vested option to full-time employees. 

Please indicate the level of experience you have with the following when you apply. 

At least one of the following:
- iOS
- Android 
(Note:  We are looking for two distinct roles: a strong iOS dev AND a strong Android dev.)

Expertise with any of the following is a plus, but not required:
- Java
- Javascript
- backbone.js
- Node.js
- RESTful API development (JSON)
- NoSQL DB solutions such as MongoDB

Lastly, please mention if you are familiar with any of the following:
- Cryptography, including OTP, MD5, hash function algorithms, and SALT
- PCI compliance
- Heroku
- Parse.com
- Geolocation
- Social platform integration (facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
- Latest features in iOS 7 for iPhone
- Latest features in Android Jelly Bean
